Homegear Pro Infrared Heater Review

If you are anything like me then there isn’t much you will enjoy more than saving money. Now I know that there are a lot of ways to do just this, but today we are going to be looking at one way in particular and that way is through your heating bills. More specifically, if you choose to use an infrared heater rather than your normal one you could start seeing the savings, and I am going to talk you through the benefits of the Homegear Pro infrared heater!

So what can it do for me?

This compact heater will efficiently and quickly heat up any medium to large sized room using its dual heating system. Combining Mica and Quartz in its heating tubes it can provide three different heat settings. These are an eco setting at 750 watts, a low setting at 1000 watts, and a high setting at 1500 watts. It doesn’t matter how cold you are or how big the room you are in is (within reason), this heater will be able to help you out. Located on the front of the machine is an LED display panel which allows for easy monitoring and precise control over the temperature. The quiet blower fan will ensure that heat is spread evenly around the room and the remote control which is included with the package means that you won’t even have to leave your seat to crank up the temperature.

So tell me about the design, what does it look like?

The design of the machine clearly wasn’t the priority during the creative process of the Homegear. There is not really any other way to describe it other than it looks like a little, black box. IT does however have the fact that it is very compact going for it, as at only 13.1 x 16.6 x 16.8 inches it is small enough to tuck away in a corner when it is not being used. You can even use it as an additional bit of gym equipment as it weighs a chunky 22 pounds, but of course I wouldn’t actually advise this!

What are the positives?

Everything is contained in such a neat little box that you probably couldn’t want much more from your infrared heater. You can control the temperature, you can easily move it from room to room, and it should save you some money on your energy bills. What’s not to like?

What about the negative points?

Power issues are the order of the day for complaints about the Homegear. Some have said that it was not as powerful as the company made it out to be in its description, and this meant that it did not heat up their rooms to a satisfactory level. If we are being extra picky then you could include the design as a negative too, so it’s only these two tiny things stopping this model from being considered for best infrared heater of the year!

What’s the summary?

As you’ve seen already there isn’t really a lot wrong with this heater. It does everything you would ask of it and even slightly more. Don’t sit there in the cold any longer. Get out there and buy one now!
